How It All Started, Here in Bloomfield, NJ over 75 Years Ago
Norton Travel Network (NTN), formerly Todaro Travel, was established in 1947 by Theodore Todaro as a small, local travel agency specializing in leisure travel. In 1985, the Norton family, having a proven track record of successfully managing businesses, purchased Todaro Travel. Their enterprises, including companies such as The Norton Insurance Company and Norton Real Estate Associates, have experienced remarkable profitability in both strong and weak economies.
As Todaro Travel grew under the Norton family’s management, our travel team’s objective was realized with the expansion into Norton Travel Network, a full-service, corporate and leisure travel company. This expansion has enabled NTN to provide a wider array of services while continuing to maintain a standard of excellence. Additionally, technological advances in the industry, such as the emergence of E-ticketing have enabled Norton Travel Network to service clients not only regionally, but also nationally and globally, with clients from California to Florida and as far as Great Britain.

Joe Norton, President
I have seen all the highs & lows of the Travel Industry. We marketed towards Vacation Travel, then Corporate Travel Management, onto Group Travel and specializing in Patient Travel programs in the Pharmaceutical Industry. I have been able to gauge the economic barometers to successfully navigate the economic pullbacks, increasing our client base through hard work and perseverance. NTN’s best days still lie ahead of us and as the future looks bright. I have learned to “keep my head down and swing easy” to guide the team to create the best results for our clients. All travel is a journey of sorts. It’s all in the way our clients perceive their results that you are successful in planning their journey.
I married an amazing woman, my wife Meg O'Boyle, and we started a family with four amazing unique children. Each of them, Molly, Kelly Joe & Anne, are the reasons I am here providing them with the opportunity to thrive & succeed in life. Without my family, I am just a man, with them I am everything I have always wanted to be. The list of nouns & adjectives is too long to list so I will sum it all up with HAPPY!
Sue Warren, Operation Manager
Sue Warren is the dynamic Director of Operations at Norton Travel Network, where she has been a pivotal figure for 26 years. Her leadership and dedication have significantly contributed to the company’s growth and operational success. She also manages the back office to make sure all is running smoothly. Always the first one at her desk and the last one to leave at the end of the day. Known for her detail-oriented approach and being a true team player, Sue’s motto is: “ Life is short…….. eat the cake”
Sue is a proud mother of three grown children and a doting grandmother to her granddaughter Charlotte. In her leisure time, she loves binge-watching Netflix, hanging out with friends, and dog mom to her two furbabies (Shilo and Tessa) and her cat Otis. She enjoys the tranquility of short days and long, dark nights, and has a passion for scary movies and rainy days. Sue also loves talking to strangers, finding joy in new conversations and connections.
Karen Fetherman, Reservations Manager
Karen Fetherman is a Reservation Manager at NTN with over 30 years of experience in the travel industry. Known for her exceptional organizational skills and customer service, Karen has been instrumental in ensuring seamless travel experiences for countless clients. At NTN, Karen oversees the reservation process, ensuring that every booking is handled with the utmost care and precision. She has a knack for anticipating clients’ needs and providing personalized solutions that exceed expectations. Whether it’s coordinating complex itineraries or securing last-minute reservations, Karen handles every challenge with grace and efficiency. She believes that the key to success in the travel industry lies in building strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
When not at work, Karen enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 children and 3 grandchildren and her shadow Jack. She loves the Caribbean and exploring new destinations. Her passion for travel is not just a job but a way of life.
Corrine Doherty, Inbound Agent
My name is Corrine, and I am an Assistant in Operations Management with three years of experience. In my role, I specialize in managing daily inbound and outbound reservation changes, with a particular focus on patient travel. My expertise ensures that all travel arrangements are handled efficiently and with the utmost care.
Outside of work, I am a proud parent to an almost three-year-old son who brings endless joy and laughter into my life. Additionally, I share my home with Sasha, my lovable Pitbull, who is always ready for a cuddle or a game of fetch.

Specializing in patient travel, I excel at turning travel hiccups into seamless experiences, ensuring comfort and care for our clients. Whether it’s finding the perfect stay or resolving last-minute issues, I bring a blend of precision and creativity to every challenge. Debbie Esposito, Reservations
With over two years of experience as a dedicated travel agent at Norton Travel, I have consistently demonstrated my commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients. My background in the medical field, spanning 17 years, has instilled in me a profound understanding of the importance of proper care and attention to detail. This unique combination of skills allows me to handle numerous bookings efficiently, ensuring that each client’s travel experience is seamless and enjoyable.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, my dog, and my three cats. I also have an extreme faith in Jesus, which guides me in all aspects of my life.
Samantha Warren, Hotel Department/Invoicing
Hello, my name is Samantha and I have been a dedicated team member at Norton Travel Agency for the past five years. My expertise lies in reconciliation and accounting, ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Beyond my professional skills, I have a passion for travel and exploring new destinations. I particularly enjoy visiting historical sites around the world, as they offer a unique glimpse into the past and enrich my understanding of different cultures. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my niece Charlotte, cat Otis, and dogs Tessa and Shiloh.
Melanie Schimenti, Invoicing
Melanie Schimenti is a dedicated professional with 37 years of experience in the travel business, including 24 years with Norton Travel Network. Known for her dependability and reliability, Melanie excels in invoicing and has a keen eye for detail. She is a very proud mother of two children and is recognized for her vibrant, fiery red hair that matches her funny and witty personality. When not at work, Melanie enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors. Her favorite place to visit is Arizona and hopes to retire there one day with her husband.
Mike Tinges, Account Manager
Michael Tinges is an Account Manager at NTN with over 20 years in the Pharmaceutical Industry. He is an innovative, strategic marketing professional with deep product launch & product management experience. Michael has brought his professional experience to NTN to help serve our clients within the Pharmaceutical Industry and to help identify new business opportunities. In those 20 years, Michael has been an integral part of five product launch teams, including two blockbuster products at a large established pharmaceutical company and two niche products with a small startup biopharmaceutical company. He has demonstrated the ability to work at all levels within an organization and cross-functionally to achieve its corporate objectives.
When not at work, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and his two teenage children. Much of his free time is spent supporting his children playing in high school and club sports teams. When he is not with family, Michael enjoys getting out on the golf course with friends and experimenting with his grill/smoker.
